South East Health has a community based child protection therapy team for Physical Abuse and Neglect of Children (PANOC). This team provides secondary and tertiary level services for prevention of physical abuse, emotional abuse and neglect of children in the South East Health. This includes therapy to families who are current clients of the Department of Community Services as well as community involvement around issues of abuse and neglect. Team members are based at Peakhurst Community Health Centre, Sylvania Community Heath Centre, and Royal South Sydney Hospital. The service operates during business hours only.
