About school therapy services

School therapy services are provided to students with disabilities by a range of therapists including speech pathologists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Therapists may be employed by government departments, non-government departments and those working in private practice.

Therapists work as part of a collaborative team to develop an individual plan that will improve the student's functional ability and access to education. See how therapists help.

Some services can only be provided after the student has an been assessed. To arrange an assessment contact the service closest to you. View service directory.
